Modern wood-burning fireplaces from luxury italian company

With the cooler weather of the Fall just around the corner, now it’s the time to think about heating things up with wood-burning fireplaces for your modern home. Luxury Italian wood burning manufacturer unveiled their Autumn/Winter 2009 collection of modern fireplaces. We are in complete love with the clean, sparse and very beautiful design. What do you think?

For all their products (the Linea, the Dinamico, the Labirinto, the Delado and the Raggi) Caminetti Montegrappa developed large variety of creative claddings. Indeed, the Linea fireplace is an ultra-modern fixture that’s an instant focal point in your living room, den, library or bedroom. The stove’s bold, black finish and slightly pyramid shape complement the upward direction of its flame, which is visible through a tempered glass door. The Dinamico flamed copper finish is warm with a twist, while it’s also available in the Dinamico grey satin finish for a cooler, more contemporary aesthetic. Sliding steel doors on either side are adorned with simple square cut-outs for added interest, set in front of tempered glass. On the other hand, The Labirinto and Dedalo are modern fireplaces with an artistic edge. This grey painted steel frame features inserts in black and white for a bold, bi-color statement. The horizontal shape appeals to more traditional settings, while the vertical fireplace design also works well in compact urban homes or rooms with tall ceilings. Finally, the Raggi wood fireplaces are equally at home in the chic city loft and the rustic cottage in the mountains. The frame of grey painted steel is complemented by metallic grey painted tubular bars, arranged in “organized chaos” surrounding the fire.

smoke-free fireplaces

smoke free fireplaces for your home without any kind of black smoke

Traditional fireplaces coughing out billowing clouds of black smoke hardly fit into the minimalist aesthetic. The new Architects line of fashionable fireplaces from Planika however, does.

Planika’s chic fireplaces, created collectively with designer Christophe Pillet, emit real fires for contemporary living and commercial spaces. The fireplace inserts use environmentally friendly plant-based Fanola fuel, which effectively eliminates soot, ash and smoke, and the need for the messy installation of chimneys or vents.

The socially conscious also need not concern themselves with adding to their carbon footprint - carbon dioxide emissions given by the new technology are equivalent to that of a human breathing normally. The fire inserts are designed for individual build-in projects, and are suitable for both interior and exterior premises.
